Pottery Class Cancellation and Refund Policy (UK)
1. Introduction
This policy outlines the terms under which cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling are managed for pottery classes. It has been prepared in accordance with UK consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
2. Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
If you book a pottery class online, by telephone, or by email, you are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking.
During this period, you may cancel your booking for a full refund, provided that the class has not yet commenced and is not scheduled to take place within those 14 days.
If you choose to attend or participate in a class that begins before the end of the 14-day cooling-off period, you acknowledge that your right to cancel under these regulations is waived once the class has started.
3. Cancellations After the Cooling-Off Period
If you wish to cancel after the 14-day cooling-off period has expired, the following terms will apply:
More than 14 days’ notice before the class date: A full refund or the option to reschedule to another available date will be offered.
Between 7 and 14 days’ notice: A 50% refund will be provided, or you may transfer your booking to another available session.
Less than 7 days’ notice: No refund will be issued. However, you may nominate another person to attend in your place, provided that prior notice is given.
4. Missed Classes
No refunds or credits will be issued for non-attendance without prior notice. Rescheduling missed dates will be at the studio’s discretion and subject to availablity.
5. Cancellations by Us
In the unlikely event that we must cancel or reschedule a class (for example, due to instructor illness, insufficient enrolment, or unforeseen circumstances), you will be offered:
A place on a rescheduled class, or
A full refund of the class fee.
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days of notification.
6. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are non-refundable once issued. However, they may be transferred to another person or redeemed against a different class, subject to availability.
7. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
