Join us on this new handbuilding course led by Sarah Cranny. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to develop your skills, Sarah will guide you through the fundamental handbuilding techniques, including pinch pots, coil construction, and slab building. You'll learn how these versatile methods can be combined to create beautiful, functional, and sculptural ceramic pieces while developing confidence in working with clay.
Once your forms are complete, you'll explore a range of decorative techniques to bring your creations to life. Experiment with coloured slips and underglazes, and learn traditional surface decoration methods such as sgraffito and inlay to add texture, pattern, and personal expression to your work. To finish, you'll have access to our beautiful selection of glazes, allowing you to add the perfect final touch before your pieces are fired and ready to enjoy.
